Series IV For Grades 5-6

Series IV students follow developmentally appropriate curriculum delivered in curriculum notebooks. Notebook instructions are delivered consistently from Mission to Mission, making the process quickly familiar and allowing for easier classroom management.

Every Mission includes relevant, engaging, hands-on activities to introduce and reinforce the science concepts of the curriculum. Series IV student teams explore Missions like Circuits and Ecosystems while practicing their teamwork and communication skills.

Teamwork is integral to the completion of any Mission. Series IV Missions emphasize teamwork by assigning specific roles to each of the four students at the Mission.

Missions’ versatile learning environment offers Series IV teachers flexibility and mobility. Multiple Missions can be stored in our Missions workstation and easily moved to another classroom or a storage area.

The Home Link activities for the older grades are broken into Home Math Links and Home Science Links. These optional enrichments include instructions for students and parents to complete a Mission-related activity at home with household materials.
